Happy Birthday, Paul.

Hawaiian Print may not like you too much, but I do.

(If you’re not sold on Paul for his musical merit or otherwise, watch this. End of story.)

Can you and me save the city? I thought that we promised.

(Excited about the prospect of new material from them this year.)

I remember getting horribly lost in South London getting to a gig of theirs that I was covering. A very pregnant Russian woman who didn’t speak too much English showed me the way to the underground club (with a chicken farm out back!). I gave my +1 to a stranger and made friends with an Australian. Good times.

An old favorite that never feels the former.

I’m probably in the running to be the Carrie Bradshaw of cocktail glasses. Worth a watch (preferably with some kind of drink - alcoholic or otherwise.. it’s long and you’ll want to settle in!) if you’re bored of serving everything out of pint glasses or worse.. and don’t want to break the bank on fixing that. (And really, who on tumblr does?)

Cheers,

Elle

In one, two, three, four, five, six, seven - eight..

What I love about OKGo more than anything (including their music, which I’m a big fan of) is their approach to creativity - they shut up & go. If more artists, etc. spent less time explaining the concepts of half baked work and instead executed them with the vigor these guys do, modern media would be better off. Shut up & go creative : an initiative. Who’s with me?

(Also, re: this video. It is painstakingly awesome. What an effort!)

Even if this song was rubbish (which it isn’t, in my opinion) - I’d still probably have a bit of affection for it. Is Leather Jacket Love Song not the best song title of all time? I think it might be. Love the effects used to blend the new and old footage together as well.

Really digging Nick Waterhouse lately. Original (I can’t bring myself to say old school..) R&B is my bread & butter music wise, and hearing those influences in modern day artists always piques my interest. He’s doing it on an especially sophisticated/polished level, and I’m really looking forward to seeing him live at some point.

He’s also one fashionable son of a gun. (Don’t ask, just click. Mr. Porter will never dissapoint.)

Equal parts curiousity & nostalgia, shaken and double strained - not stirred. Generally have a tune stuck in my head, nine times out of ten it was made before I was born. Advertising/Media (but not an Ann Paul Veal) hog. I just wasn't made for these times, but god only knows what I'd be without digital.
