Soul’s a genre for everyone but the heartless. Can’t get over the immense talent that is Nick Waterhouse & his band. Rhythm for days.
Makes me buzz.
I forgot how much I like the California sunshine sound of Hellogoodbye.
(Even better now that we’ve all grown up a little.)
Miles Kane seems like the kind of guy you could hang out and have a bourbon with, and life would be fine. (If not well soundtracked.)
And it was you.
Starry eyes forever.
I don’t listen to musicians in halves. Usually they brutally kick their way into all my playlists for a week or two, and then hang out in the background when the next jumps in. Kate’s killing it! Call it uncool or unsophisticated, it’s got a lot of heart.
I’m sick of being the bitch that you think I am.
I never understood;
understood that man.
Feeling like a Spice Girl with the amount of Girl Power I’ve been encouraging to friends & fam as of late. But hey! All good.
I think Kate’s the sixth unofficial part of the crew. Punky Spice.
(Also, I can’t say I’m not dressing up like Ginger Spice for halloween this year, so there’s that too. Six year old dreams come true! Which sounds much weirder in retrospect..)
She taught him what was real, he taught her she was okay.
That her thoughts were not just rubbish, that she had something good to give.
This song’s always caught my heart. We always look for a little of ourselves in songs, or at least I do. Falling in love for the first time, you’re so sure of it - infinitely optimistic and unaware of what bad turns could come. I’ve never heard anything else that illustrates that experience as well as this, in less than 2 minutes no less. Well done, OM. I’ll always associate it with a dreamy springtime in London, without a worry in the world. Nice little track to let your mind wander off with on a rainy Sunday.
Oooh, acoustic. Yes please.
