little daydreams come true once in a while, you know.
nice ideas & golden keys, the little things that make spring seem like the most magical season around.

Thanks to professionalcynic-limited I cannot stop listening to An Argument With Myself by Jens Lekman. He is great for starters, but this song is set in Melbourne, which makes me love it even more.
I actually walk this route every day after work. Now I probably won’t be able to walk it without this in my head, saying “Fuck you, no you fuck you.”

ps: the EP comes out today. I did my part & ordered a 12” (hoping i get one of the clear ones!) , you probably should too.

can’t seem to get a wink of sleep after a long day.
it happens sometimes, and usually sleepy music like (my forever favored) jens lekman’s does the trick. an hour’s search and many, many audio posts later i found this cover of one of his tracks. it’s kinda nice, says the girl running on empty.
g’night.

It is a little late (It’s a work night!) and I’m just hovering around until I feel sleepy enough to go to bed. The rather lovely Elle gave me this song on a mix cd a little while back and I fell in love with it. I didn’t realise that this wasn’t Jens Lekman’s original version so I was quite surprised to find a studio polished version with a brass section and all, but hey, I’m a sucker for trumpets (there should be more in pop music by far!) Here is what I think is the version I was given, Ukelele and all.
The lyrics to this song sound like something I would have tried when I was a little bit younger…
awh, jens lekman! you & him & his music make me happy.
ps: *ukulele ;)
